A Connecticut man was found dead after a canoeing accident in Maine.

The body of Christopher Hughes, of Trumbull, was found Friday night.

Hughes went canoeing with a friend when the canoe tipped over.

His friend, who was in a kayak, heard Hughes yelling for help, but was too far away to grab him.

"This seems to be at least right now another incident where someone, their life could've probably been saved if, if they'd been wearing a life jacket," says Corporal John MacDonald, of the Maine Warden Service.
