The University of Connecticut basketball teams are planning to recognize the Black Lives Matter movement whenever they play games again.
Both the men and women teams, along with the rest of the Big East Conference, are set to wear patches that recognize racial injustice within the country.
The Huskies have also spoke about adding racial justice statements to their jerseys, similar to those seen in the National Basketball Association.
The teams are considering what those statements would be and how to support athletes who choose not to wear them.
