They beat almost 500 teams worldwide in the investment competition, including the second-place team from Saudi Arabia by more than $100,000.
The team credits their win to their investment strategy in identifying underdog companies that were responding to market demands.
All the students are enrolled in the financial risk management program. Several of them attended the university as undergraduates.
