United Airlines is expecting the most passengers they've ever flown over this Labor Day weekend.
The airline is expecting 3.1 million travelers from Thursday to Tuesday, which is 220,000 more than last year.
United expects an average of 55,000 passengers traveling through Newark Liberty International Airport during the timeframe.
The busiest days will be Friday and Monday.
The top domestic destinations include Las Vegas, Orlando and Boston, according to United.
The airline says international bookings are up more than 10% compared to last year. Top destinations include London, Frankfurt and Cancun.
There was a ground stop at Newark Liberty on Thursday. The Federal Aviation Administration said the stop was "...due to equipment issues that affected some radio frequencies in the Philadelphia TRACON area that handles Newark arrivals and departures. We are investigating the cause."
