Connecticut state troopers and a police dispatcher rescued an injured bald eagle from the road off I-84 near the Vernon-Tolland town line.
The rescue was made Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and captured on both trooper dash and body cameras.
State Police Troop C
released the video today which shows dispatcher Kimberly Gambacorta, who also serves as a local Animal Control officer, responding to assist in wrangling the bird of prey.
They were able to secure the injured eagle and release it into the custody of Horizon Wings Raptor Rehabilitation in Ashford.
