A viewing was held Thursday night for a Bridgeport man who was taken off life support a week after being critically injured in a motorcycle crash.
Friends and family gathered at Luz De Paz Funeral Home for a viewing of Danny Morales.
Police say the 40-year-old was on his motorcycle when he collided with a box truck at North Ridgefield and Boston avenues on Feb. 27.
Officials say he was stuck beneath the vehicle for 20 minutes.
A family member of Danny Morales spoke publicly for the first time tonight about their loss.
"It crushed his lungs, broke his ribs, so he stopped breathing because he was just so badly injured, they couldn't even perform surgery, there was really nothing they could do. It was just really -- it was really very tragic; it was really bad” says his 21-year-old niece, Marilyn Vazquez.
The family set up a
GoFundMe account to help pay for expenses.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 10 a.m.
