WHAT'S NEW: A Wind Advisory has been issued for Suffolk County, starting tonight and lasting until Friday morning. Gusts could go up to 40-50 mph. This approaching storm system will bring rain and wind, along with temps running above average.

WHAT'S NEXT: The MLK Jr. Day Holiday weekend will trend dry with a mix of sun and clouds and temps running a little above average. There is next to no chance of true Winter Weather coming our way for the next 10 days.

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Addison Green says batches of rain and strong wind move through tonight and into Friday.

OVERNIGHT: WEATHER TO WATCH - Scattered showers and a chance for isolated thunderstorms heading into the overnight hours as temps slowly rise along with gusty winds that could gust close to 40-50 mph. Visibility will also be lowered from the influx of moisture combined with the rain falling down. Temps trend milder than average. Lows: upper 40s to low 50s.

FRIDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH (EARLY AM) – Moderate to heavy rain in the morning, with breezy to gusty winds. Showers fade by the late morning hours, with skies gradually clearing out midday and breezy winds linger into the afternoon hours. Highs: low to mid 50s (occurs early on in the day). Lows: low to mid 30s.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy winds with a drier feeling in the air. Highs: upper 30s to low 40s. Lows: upper 20s.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny to the west and partly to mostly cloudy to the east with temps a little above seasonal levels. There will be some breezy northeast winds from time to time. Highs: upper 30s to low 40s. Lows: mid to upper 20s.
