A local church group, Redemption Church of Love, held a rally in Bridgeport.
Participants say there's so much violence associated with protests across the country, and they wanted to send a different kind of message.
Redemption Church of Love calls the death of George Floyd "a tragedy that should be met with firm but peaceful condemnation."
"We're not out here to protest or be loud or violent,” says Raven Gray. “We're here just to really peacefully share hope and share the love of Christ."
"I feel like it's time for us to really gather together and not necessarily protest but really do it the way that we know is best which is prayer and praise,” says Ashley Necole Service.
The group plans to hold more rallies like this one.
