Gov. Ned Lamont updated residents on Wednesday about how the state is responding to the coronavirus.
During a news conference at the Emergency Operations Center in Hartford, Gov. Lamont said the state government is working to make sure hospitals and health care providers get everything they need.
The state Department of Health has created a website where residents can get the latest updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and learn how to protect themselves from the virus.

The governor says this has all happened fast and that they are prepared. He says there have been no cases reported in Connecticut.
"This is not a call to make you nervous, it’s a call to give you confidence that we're ready for what's going forward here, give you confidence that we've got the best people here at the state of Connecticut – not just today but for weeks going forward," said Gov. Lamont.
The governor said the state took part in an exercise last August to prepare for the possibility of a pandemic.
