Weston Public Schools has switched to temporary remote learning today due to positive COVID-19 cases.
The switch applies to all schools in the district.
On Sunday, the district reported a positive case of COVID-19 at Weston High School. It then reported a positive COVID-19 case at Hurlbutt Elementary School.
The district said that it needs at least Monday to do additional contact tracing to determine the potential spread of COVID-19 in the district. It said it is doing this out of an abundance of caution.
The principal of each school will release a plan today on what they are planning to do for the rest of the week.
