'Westport at its best.' Town hosts annual children's Halloween parade

Organizers say more than 500 people showed up, and nearly 40 local businesses passed out candy.

Characters from all different universes wandered around Main Street in Westport Tuesday night.
"We love Westport so much," says Christine Bystrov. "This is like Westport at its best."
Organizers say more than 500 people showed up, and nearly 40 local businesses passed out candy.
"Westport is a big town and prides itself on community," says Max Robbins, ofWestport Parks and Recreation. "It shows we're all together as one."
The parade ended at Veterans Green where kids were treated to music, a small gift, and of course candy.
