6h agoThe Westport Fire Department has a new interim fire chief.
Mark Amatrudo will serve as interim fire chief for the department.
First Selectwoman Jennifer Tooker made the announcement Thursday night.
Amatrudo begins the job Monday.
He has been a volunteer in the fire service since the 1970s and is a third-generation chief fire officer.
Amatrudo replaces former Chief Michael Kronick, who retired in May.
