A local organization gave students the chance to catch up on school work this snow day.
Students and teachers have had to find creative ways to learn throughout the pandemic. A national company based in Westport called The Teacher Marketplace has a roster full of teachers ready to help kids who are struggling to learn in these uncertain times.
The Teacher Marketplace put on a program over the summer for a Back To School Enrichment Camp - 20 underserved children got the help they needed for a week at no charge.
The company says it's noticed younger kids are struggling with reading and English while older kids are struggling more with math.
The teachers are fully vaccinated and are available in person or online.
The Teacher Marketplace says its average price is $27 an hour.
