Mathematically inclined residents gathered at Westport Library Saturday to celebrate National Pi Day.
This year's Pi Day was special in that the first 10 digits all fell into place at 9:26:53 a.m. It marks the only time in the next 100 years that the numbers of pi will follow the date.
In mathematics, pi is used to represent the ratio of a circle's circumference.
March 14 is also physicist Albert Einstein's birthday.
