Westport officials: Good Samaritan saves driver who crashed off Newtown Turnpike

A car veered off the road into the woods and split a utility pole. A man who lives near the crash site helped the driver to safety just before it burst into flames.

Westport fire officials say a driver walked away from a fiery car crash thanks to a Good Samaritan.
It happened on Newtown Turnpike on Thursday night.
A car veered off the road into the woods and split a utility pole. A man who lives near the crash site helped the driver to safety just before it burst into flames.
