Funeral services were held Friday for former Westport Police Chief Alfred Fiore.

The 69-year-old died last weekend after suffering from a chronic health condition.

A police motorcade traveled from Harding Funeral Home to Assumption Church.

Fiore was appointed chief in 2004 and retired in 2010. The department said even after his retirement, Fiore continued to support and guide officers.
