Westport residents say they've seen an increase in traffic along backroads

Tens of thousands of drivers will be hitting the roads across Connecticut this holiday weekend, but it's not just Interstate 95 and Meritt Parkway that are backed up -- the backroads have seen a lot of congestion as well.
Westport residents News 12 spoke with say they are planning extra time to get around this weekend.
Daniel Cummings has lived in Westport for 25 years. He says the backroads are becoming as congested as I-95 and Meritt Parkway.
Cummings is staying in town this weekend, but noticed the increase in traffic since Thursday. He says what is normally a 5 minute trip through downtown by Episcopal Church, took around 30 minutes.
