Westport store hosts event to protect children
One Westport store held an event geared toward protecting Connecticut's children.
Shoreline Integrative Pharmacy hosted the free Connecticut Child Identification Program Saturday.
The program allows parents to collect the critical information law enforcement need to help locate a missing or kidnapped child.
This information includes a child's weight, fingerprints, DNA sample, dental imprints and recent photos.
The information is collected and then put on a CD parents take home and can give to law enforcement in the event their child is missing.
Law enforcement officers tells News 12 the pack gives officers a head start as parents of a missing child aren't in a good place to describe their child or give basic information because they're too upset.
