The rain didn't stop the fun Saturday at the 58th Tokeneke Pumpkin Carnival.
“We were checking the weather all week,” Tokeneke PTO vice-chair Jessica Murphy said. “We are trying to harness fall and all the fun things that come with it.”The Tokeneke PTO has been working on the event since May, with this year’s indoor and outdoor events bigger than ever.
“Over the years, we've grown into this massive event,” Murphy said. “It feels busy and buzzy. We had a big pep rally Friday to pump the kids up and they were all very excited, rain or shine, to be here.”
“Just seeing everybody come out every year is so fun,” fairgoer Sienna said.
Funds raised are going toward enrichment activities for the students, including an upcoming appearance from “The Whalemobile.”
