This week, News 12 Connecticut's What's Ailing You looks at relief from headaches that doesn't involve pain relievers.
New Canaan high school student Amanda Morley says frequent headaches have made it difficult to focus on SATs and her college search.
Naturopathic Dr. Paul Epstein, of Westport, says patients have to find what works for them.
He says for a pulsating headache he recommends trying an ice-pack instead of medication.
Dr. Epstein says decreasing stress naturally by doing yoga and relaxing with a cup of herbal tea helps.
He says a good night's sleep and natural supplements may also help bolster the body's resilience.
