A Bronx charter school has been adopted by a law firm. 

White and Williams LLP is helping to fund the Reading Partners literacy program at the Hyde Leadership Charter School on Bryant Avenue. 

The firm donated $5,000 to kick off the program for students in the third, fourth and fifth grades. Representatives even read to the students on Tuesday. 

The new partnership means the school and the law firm will work together to improve student reading skills. White and Williams says that investing time and money in education is its way of giving back to the community.
