A Wilton couple is bringing a taste of Thai to Connecticut.
Jocelyn Pollack taught English in Bangkok Thailand for nine years.
She fell in love with the country - and her boxing instructor, Kook.
In the spring of 2022, the pair moved back to Wilton.
Kook, a self-described businessman with a passion for food who dreamed of starting his own restaurant, struggled to make a living off of his love of food.
Grumpy Dumplings was the brainchild of Kook's cooking and Pollack missing good Thai food.
"I had been teaching all day, he had been alone and experimenting. I came home and I said gee you are a real grumpy dumpling tonight and we are like oh my god that is it that is the name." says Pollack.
In the past 18 months, the couple expanded has their business, got married and became parents.
Their dumplings are all hand folded and filled with organic meat and local vegetables.
They are sold at area farmers markets and at special events.
