The Wilton British population reacted to Princess Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis on Friday.
As the word began to spread on the Princess of Wales' diagnosis and her moving video released by the palace, the owner of Penny Ha’Penny, Eve Raymond, said she was surprised and saddened by the news but hopeful treatment will be successful.
Penny Ha'Penny has been a very popular British shop in Wilton for almost 40 years.
"She's a human and needs as much support as we can all possibly give," said Raymond.
Local British resident Dominique Baynes said she was shocked to find out the Princess of Wales has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
"She's an inspiration and she is a role model to a lot of young people. It would be really sad for the British public and the royal family if something was to happen to her," said Baynes.
