Fairfield's Department of Public Works crews spent Tuesday cleaning up after a windy night.
Officials say the wind was gusting between 45 and 55 mph last night, knocking down trees and power lines.
A tree fell on a house on Ruane Street. The homeowner's son says his mom was home when the tree came barreling down right above her bedroom.
"She was lying in bed when it happened and was actually laying right where the tree hit the house. It knocked her out of bed and woke her up," says Earl Bohmer, the son of the homeowner.
