The first major snow storm of the winter dumped 9 inches in some regions Friday.
Areas north of the Merritt Parkway saw the most snow, while the coast received anywhere between 6 and 8 inches plus a sleet and snow mix causing dangerous road conditions.
The storm tapered off Friday evening and left only flurries fluttering on southwestern Connecticut during the night.
Connecticut won?t get much of a break as another storm is on its way and could hit the area on Sunday. A winter storm watch already has been announced for Sunday.
