Police say a woman was killed in a motorcycle crash early this morning on I-95 in Norwalk. The accident occurred at around 3:45 a.m. between exits 16 and 17, police say. Investigators say 29-year-old Ines Franco was riding with two other motorcyclists when one of them got a flat tire. All three were riding on the right shoulder when Franco was suddenly struck by a passing car and thrown from her bike. Police say she died instantly. The driver of the car that hit Franco was not injured. Police say a third car that was involved in the crash was carrying a mother and her two children, but they were also unharmed. Traffic in the southbound lanes was snarled for more than four hours after the accident. Police say the investigation is continuing.
