A former Quinnipiac University student has been sentenced to three years of probation for a making a false bomb threat last year on graduation day.
Hamden police say they arrested Danielle Shea last May after they traced the threatening phone calls to her cellphone.
Police say she did not attend Quinnipiac last year, but took the thousands of dollars from her mother to pay for her education.
Officers say she panicked when her relatives did not see her name on the graduation roster, so she tried to get the ceremony canceled.
