A New Haven man went before a judge Thursday on charges he shot a Bridgeport store owner to death during a robbery.
Leighton Vanderberg, 22, is charged with fatally shooting 57-year-old store-owner Jose Salgado Saturday.
Police renewed their call for help from the public today to find Vanderberg's alleged accomplice, 18-year-old Treizy Lopez.
As News 12 has reported, investigators say surveillance video shows both men running away from Salgado's grocery store after fatally shooting him.
Vanderberg's bond is set at $1 million. He is due back in court on May 5.
