A Guilford boy named Nolan who is battling kidney disease was granted the wish of a lifetime, to go to Hawaii, thanks to Make-A-Wish Foundation and Shelton's Barnum Foundation for Life.
Friends and family surprised Nolan with the good news at the Trumbull Marriott Friday.
Nolan says he already knows what he wants to do once he gets there.
"I'm going to be going to a luau and kayaking...but also I want to sit on the beach and tan by the pool because I'm so pale," said Nolan.
The 12-year-old and his family will head to Hawaii next week.
