Two men accused in the 2009 robbery and shooting of a Bridgeport man who died this week will likely face charges upgraded to murder, according to police.
Authorities say Dan Rauso, 27, died Wednesday from injuries suffered during the robbery outside a barbershop on E. Main Street.
Rauso had reportedly gotten a haircut moments before the robbery. Police say the suspects shot him in the hip and the bullet lodged in his spine, leaving him paralyzed.
Eric Brown and Tyrone Grant, both 27-year-old Bridgeport residents, were already facing charges of assault and robbery in connection with the case.
Police say they plan to upgrade the charges once the medical examiner officially confirms that complications from the shooting caused Rauso's death.
