Three people are facing charges relating to an incident in which a 14-year-old boy in Watertown accidentally shot himself in the head.

Police say the teen was playing with the gun when he shot himself inside a home on Hadley Street in October.

The boy's grandmother, Elizabeth Salcevski, and her boyfriend, Jose Soto-Berrios, along with boy's mother, Patricia Milot, were all charged with risk of injury to a minor.

Police say there were 20 unsecured firearms belonging to Soto-Berrios in the home.

Salcevski and Soto-Berrios were also charged with reckless endangerment and criminal negligent storage of a firearm.

The teen was taken to Connecticut Children's Medical Center but has since been released.
