A water main break in New Canaan is causing detours, as crews close off Old Stamford Road on Tuesday night.

Aquarion Water Company says crews are working on repairs and notes that some residents in nearby Stamford might see discolored water. The company says the discoloration is temporary.

Town officials say Old Stamford Road between Weed Street and Lapham Road will remain closed until Wednesday morning.

Drivers are advised to take detours through Weed Street and Lapham Road.
