Fire: 1 person injured after car rolls off of Route 8 ramp in Shelton
Firefighters found the vehicle in the wooded median adjacent to the ramp. They say the vehicle veered off the road and went through the median before landing.

One person was injured after their vehicle rolled over and off of Route 8 Sunday night, Shelton firefighters say.
It happened at 6:30 p.m. near Exit 11.
Firefighters found the vehicle in the wooded median adjacent to the ramp. They say the vehicle veered off the road and went through the median before landing.
The driver, who was only person in the vehicle, was able to get out before firefighters arrived. Once they arrived, first responders stabilized the vehicle, made sure the area was safe and helped with vehicle recovery operations.
The driver was evaluated by Shelton EMS and taken to the hospital.
It's not clear what caused the crash.
