A Spring Valley man was sentenced to nine years in prison after police caught him with a loaded handgun.

The Rockland district attorney says 27-year-old Keimoni Spinks was found with the gun during a traffic stop in Ramapo two years ago.

He was arrested while on parole for another felony gun charge from eight years before.
