Gov. Dannel Malloy announced that the state of Connecticut will be teaming up with the federal government to spend $23 million to make the Stamford train station more user friendly.
Malloy says the money will be used to overhaul all 17 escalators and five elevators at the Transportation Center.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal says the investment shows that both Hartford and Washington, D.C. realize the importance of the station.
