Bond is set at $100,000 for the Hartford man accused of leading police on a wild chase through several communities.
Rafael Vasquez, 25, went before a judge today. Police say he was arrested on the side of the Merritt Parkway in Trumbull yesterday.
Officers say they started following him in Norwalk after several people reported that he was driving erratically and police noticed the car was reported stolen.
They say he sped through Westport, drove up I-95, down the Merritt Parkway and was even spotted on Route 8.
He is due back in court next month.
