A driver stuck a tree Saturday morning in Stratford and later died at a hospital.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. on Main Street near the intersection of Warner Hill Road.

Police say the 27-year-old woman was traveling north on Main Street when her Mercedes veered off the road and struck a tree. She was the sole occupant.

The woman, who was not identified by police, died from her injures.
