State Sen. Edwin Gomes managed to beat his opponent Dennis Bradley last night with 54 percent of the vote.
Gomes will face Republican Mike Garrett this November.
And state Sen. Marilyn Moore defeated challenger Thomas McCarthy by a wide margin.
She will face Republican Elaine Hammers in the general election.
