A 4-year-old boy fell from a three-story window in Bridgeport, officials say.

The incident happened Sunday at the corner of Stratford and Hollister avenues. 

Police say the child's babysitter was asleep and the child tumbled out of the window.

The child was taken to Bridgeport Hospital with serious facial injuries, but was later released and is expected to be OK. 

Chief A.J. Perez called the incident an "accident that could have been worse."

Police say the babysitter is a 14-year-old and that charges will not be filed.
