A Bridgeport mother is facing charges after police say she left her 5-year-old at the beach.
The incident happened at Short Beach in Stratford on Sunday.
Police say they received a call that the boy was wandering on the beach crying.
They say when they brought the child back to his house two hours later, his family had no idea he was missing.
