Police have confirmed a sanitation truck driver has slammed into a pole on Spruce Street in Milford, leaving 85 homes without power.
Police currently have the street blocked off.
Police say the pole is a frontier telephone pole, but UI customers still lost power.
Crews will replace the pole and estimate a few hours until the power is restored.
Police say the driver is not injured, and believe the slick conditions likely contributed to crash.
