Police: 1 arrested in pursuit of stolen car that ended in Milford crash off I-95

The pursuit began in Bridgeport and ended in the area of High Street and Exit 37 in Milford off I-95 Wednesday night.

State and Milford police say one person was charged after a pursuit that ended in a crash off I-95 in Milford.
Kaleem Uthmaan, of Hamden, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit larceny, criminal trover, and interfering with police.
The pursuit began in Bridgeport and ended in the area of High Street and Exit 37 in Milford off I-95 Wednesday night.
According to police, members from the Fairfield County Regional Auto Theft Task Force began following a car after recognizing it was stolen out of Waterbury and wanted in connection to a homicide in another jurisdiction.
Police say after the car crashed, two of the three people inside ran into a wooded area and a foot pursuit began.
A K-9 unit was unable to located two people who ran, but officers later found Uthmaan and he was arrested.
Uthmaan is being held on a $150,000 bond.
