The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk has announced their chief operating officer is on administrative leave after allegations of financial impropriety.
Officials at The Maritime Aquarium say Roy Dowdell remains under investigation after discrepancies in cash and credit cards were discovered.
They say they turned the case over to Norwalk police after finding more than $78,000 had been misappropriated.
Officials say they are confident this case will not affect the financial health of the aquarium.
