Platform tennis players of all ages gathered in New Canaan Saturday for a good cause.
Dozens of teams played in the 2nd annual Battle with a Paddle tournament, held at The Country Club of New Canaan.
Organizers say doubles teams played in three matches before moving onto the playoffs.
They also say the all proceeds benefit to AmeriCares, a Stamford-based emergency response and global health organization.
"We're a global disaster relief effort organization. We work in about 100 countries around the world each year and here in the United States," says Holly Donaldson, of AmeriCares. "It's a change for them to help us expand our reach and expand our impact globally."
Organizers say they are on track to raise $10,000.
