A long-standing drive-in in Monroe reopened to customers after severe flooding in August forced the business to shut down.
Lake Zoar Drive-In sits right in front of Lake Zoar and on Roosevelt Drive, one of the main roads that was closed after the flooding.
Despite reopening six days after the storm, it was hard for customers to get to the drive-in.
Lake Zoar worker Adrienne Lariviere said her commute was usually 10 minutes but after that Sunday it quadrupled.
"For me the alternative route was 40 minutes," Lariviere said.
Despite the extended travel for many, they have received an outpouring of support from loyal customers over the past few weeks.
"A bunch of people were very happy that we were open. We had people from 40 minutes away even just to come here and get some burgers," said Kayla Etes, one of the managers at Lake Zoar.
Roosevelt Drive has since reopened in the area of Lake Zoar Drive-In.
