(AP) - Authorities say three crew members have beenrescued after a tugboat overturned near New York City's LibertyIsland.
The captain of the NY Waterway ferry who pulled the crew fromthe water also helped in the "Miracle on the Hudson" rescue in2009.
Coast Guard spokesman Charles Rowe says the three were taken formedical treatment after the accident, which occurred around 9:45a.m. Friday. They were not seriously injured and were expected torecover.
The New York Police Department says the workers were trying tolift something with a crane when the vessel capsized in the HudsonRiver.
The boat's name is the Katherine G.
It was on its side, on the northeast side of Liberty Island. Italso was visible from the Battery Park area in Lower Manhattan.
