A local trainer and an IT executive from Wilton are asking for the public's help assisting Ukrainian refugees.
Flow Trandu says he will join other trainers from across the area at Scalzi Park in Stamford Sunday for a boot camp to raise money for Ukraine.
He says 100% of donations go to directly to a nonprofit effort helping refugees on the ground in and around Ukraine.
"When we come together, we can do some big things, and I just want to thank all the trainers that are coming together and all the people that are participating and donating," Trandu says.
IT executive Sean Lentner raised $30,000 for Ukraine and recently visited the border of Romania to help refugees get across Europe.
"When Flow reached out to me, I knew right away that I wanted to provide some detailed information about being there, working with NGOs, seeing these mothers, seeing their kids and helping his effort," Lentner says.
Stand With Ukraine Boot Camp will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday at 97 Bridge St.
