Police are investigating a shooting that took place outside Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk Monday.

According to police, a boy was shot outside the school following a boys basketball game versus Greenwich. Police say the victim was shot by an automatic weapon and hit in the leg, but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics took the boy to the hospital following the incident. The victim?s age and name have not been released.
