14ds agoThe Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich is undergoing a major renovation at its clubhouse on Horseneck Lane.
State and local officials gathered on Wednesday to get an update on the clubhouse renovation, which started last October.
Officials say the expansion will include increased security features throughout the facility, upgrades to the Teen Center to include space for studying and tutoring, and a new gym.
"This project is really about the youth of Greenwich and trying to serve more young people who need a safe and affordable place to go after school," says Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich chief executive officer Cristina Vittoria. "The Boys & Girls Club is open every day after school as well as all school holidays and vacations."
Officials hope the construction will be completed by early 2025.
