Monday was the first day on the job for Bridgeport?s State Police Troop G?s two new K-9.
The addition of Yoduk and Diesel doubles the size of the department?s existing K-9 unit. The new dogs will join veterans Neo and Ciroc on the force.
Troopers say the veterans were working overtime and need the additional help the young dogs will offer. Neo and Ciroc made about 100 calls to emergency situations this year, police say.
Despite officially joing the ranks of the force, Diesiel and Yoduk?s training isn?t over. Officers want the duo to receive narcotic detection training within a year.
